What is DC/DC converter?

DC-DC converter, also known as a direct current (DC) converter or voltage converter, is an electronic device that converts one DC voltage level to another. It is commonly used in various electronic systems and applications to efficiently regulate or transform DC power.

The main purpose of a DC-DC converter is to step up (increase), step down (decrease), or invert (change polarity) the input DC voltage to match the requirements of a specific load or system. It performs this voltage conversion by using a combination of semiconductor switches (such as transistors), inductors, capacitors, and diodes.
